Today, our ongoing podcast series has reached yet another amazing milestone since its launch back in 2014 as we celebrate the release of episode 300 alongside Vivien Oldy at the controls.
Born in Latvia and now based in Aalborg, Denmark, Vivien Oldy always delivers intense narratives through her mixes, incorporating a specific spectrum of trippy minimal and psycho-active techno into her track selection process. She showcases her distinct approach to the minimalistic sound concept in the “Minimoom” mix series while her work as a promoter is strongly related with “LINES”, “Abøve” and “ThrillZ” events series. By being a transgender person, she creates a free-minded club environment and brings to her city the underground spirit of Berlin. During the pandemic, her house became an island of club culture where she arranges small underground home parties from time to time.
The mix for feeder sound starts from very simple patterns, but after a row of transitions gets more dynamic, based on multi-beats grooves, until kick-less hypnotics closer to the end.Vivien Oldy
feeder sound 300 mixed by Vivien Oldy gently sets off with Abel Soleil & Hipp’s “Novo Con Buchla” and slowly evolves into an inspiring journey which includes quirky minimal cuts, deep introspective compositions as well as uplifting moments flavoured with broken beats and pure pumping techno. Perfect to start your weekend with!
This Friday, we invite you to explore the whole feeder sound mix series and stay tuned for more!
