The next chapter in the r.hitect‘s catalogue features three fully immersive and uplifting cuts carefully packed into “landscapes EP” announced to be released early in May in a limited number of copies with no-repress. The mysterious Romanian producer delivers once again, showcasing a vibrant mix of rhythms and textures that can add colour and beauty to any selection rooted in minimal techno and progressive, just as his five previous records did.

r.hitect follows deep narratives with his tracks always providing a sense of deepness elegantly balanced by melodic themes, warm textures and forward-thinking arrangements. He’s also well-known for his collaborations with Barac and Remus as well as for his approach to production translated into “Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication”. Now, let’s dive into sonorous soundwaves and explore this EP in more detail:

Side A opens with the uplifting vibes of “Landscape Of Nowhere” revealing a playful composition inspired by psychedelic motions and trance-inducing sequences which blend into a hypnotic flow that maintains a dynamic and organic structure throughout. This piece definitely has all it needs to be categorized as a true dancefloor anthem. Next, “Cross Section” drops an atmospheric minimal sound designed with a solid bassline in focus, steady-paced drumming patterns and bright pads that elegantly intertwine with the subtle background reverberations. There’s also a melancholic mood to be felt here which is enhanced by the properly placed breakdowns. On Side B we find “Space Space Time Zero” which combines the energies of the two tracks from Side A into a new story that features exquisite melodic insertions perfect for a dreamy afternoon mind drift.
