Los Angeles-based events brand Dialogue reveal their first pressing as a record label in the form of “Solace In Repetition” EP signed by local artist Ada Kaleh alongside SIT (Cristi Cons & Vlad Caia) and Visionquest’s co-founder Shaun Reeves on remix duties. With two introspective originals and two uplifting remixes the 12″ sure delivers the vibes while the abstract collage of the artwork is provided by Halo Varga of Muted Noise. The American venture is well-known for its underground parties which, throughout time, hosted special guest appearances by Fur Coat, Bedouin, Jay Tripwire, Sonja Moonear, Archie Hamilton, Enzo Siragusa, tINI, Bill Patrick, Barac, Raresh, Rhadoo, Vinyl Speed Adjust, David Scuba and Andy Warren, to name just a few.

Ada Kaleh is widely known to be a forward-thinking producer and an eclectic selector, having numerous performances and releases under his belt that have delighted thousands of electronic music enthusiasts and party-goers worldwide. Aside from his iconic releases published by his own venture Ada Kaleh Romania, he also collaborated with imprints like Subotnik, The Rabbit Hole, UVAR, Rawax, R&S Records and Berg Audio. Side A opens with the title track “Solace In Repetition” slowly building on a subtle old-school flavour designed with steady-paced drumming patterns, solid basslines, twisted effects and emotional synth work. The narrative takes the listener through several variations and carefully crafted breakdowns that focus on the intricate layering this piece has to offer. Following, “Affection Over Reason” dives into deep dubby atmospheres and textures while providing an engaging percussive core for the body to follow when dancing. Here, the warm rotating background pads ooze with melancholy while the tempo is kept high to perfectly contrast the whole journey.

Side B is reserved for the remixes of A2, with SIT taking the original into a progressive dimension where the layers receive extra reverberations and a distinct electric swing which sweeps through the frequencies with style while Shaun Reeves focuses on a darker minimalistic re-interpretation where the energy is maintained and expanded into ethereal modulations and sounds.
