Mehdi M, the young producer from Cairo, based in Paris, brings again a funk deep house heat to Lescale Recordings, for its 8th release, with a great 4 track EP ‘Edison’s Rhodes’. The title track takes the lead with an electro feel, layered over a hefty bassline and spacey synths. ‘Busted Organ’ follows, with a deep sine wave bassline, organ-style stabs, and crispy drums, ‘Blueming Days’ breaks the beat up and goes in hard on the drum work. ‘Freeze It’ completes the set and here is all about funk heat, with a ducking bass, claps, vocals and stabs. Heavy on the groove, ‘Edison’s Rhodes EP’ is a surefire hot release.
