Local imprint Unfelde Records announces its third vinyl pressing to arrive soon in the form of UFDV003 or Love Manifesto with label-head Robert David at the controls alongside Argenis Brito and Macarie on remix duties. The four-tracker reveals a mesmerising endeavour in the realms of minimal techno music inspired by the meaning of Love, how we accept or deny it, how society can change its significance or even deform it. The artwork represents the protagonist’s artistic expression as the painting was done when the tracks were in production and eventually fitted perfectly with the concept.

Robert David is well-known for his intense activity in the electronic music scene, having more than 12 years of experience under his belt mixing, producing and promoting top-quality house and techno rhythms through his label, which functions on both vinyl and digital formats. His adventure begun around 2008 and since then he passed through a continuous development regarding his style and sound, deeply exploring the connection between music and feelings in the studio or behind the decks. Among the labels he collaborated with we find Melotherapy, Capodopere, Soundterrasse, Aku, Wavetech Limited, Minim.all, Whoyostro and Baile Musik. For this inspiring material he invites the Venezuelan DJ and producer Argenis Brito and local artist Macarie to join in with their own distinct re-interpretations of the two originals in order to complete the story of the Heart, as seen and felt through the filters of minimal techno. Side A opens with “Love Manifesto”, an introspective piece designed with an intricate and ever-evolving narrative which blends a steady-paced rhythm with warm background textures, subtly twisted effects and spacious breakdowns. The harmonics elegantly sweep through the frequencies taking the listener into vivid states of mind which connect both inner and outer worlds. Macarie‘s remix reveals a slightly stripped-down sound while adding an extra swing provided by heavily modulated vocal samples, playful arpeggios and clockwork drumming patterns.

The original take on “Inima” closes the EP with an uplifting and immersive vibration explored through bright pads and quirky effects that smoothly merge with a driving four by four percussion while Argenis Brito opts for a minimalistic composition that focuses on additional synth work being brought into play for a joyous outcome. A highly recommended 12″ right here, perfect for selectors, collectors and enthusiasts alike!
