The Venezuelan underground music platform Eli.sound returns with an amazing EP signed by the Russian artist OutsiDER (RU) alongside Brent and label-owner Son of Elita on remix duties. Designed with hypnotic minimal sounds, organic grooves and immersive melodies, all the tracks are carefully crafted for the dancefloor, sweeping through the frequencies with style while taking the listener adrift in twisted dimensions. Made up of two main labels for the moment, eli.traxx and eli.waxx, the imprint brings forward an innovating sound in genres like minimal, breaks, experimental, downtempo, deep house, microhouse and techno in both digital and vinyl format.

Born in Venezuela, Luis Oscar Pimentel aka Son of Elita became interested in underground music when he was 24 years old and although electronic music was not a trend in his small town, he travelled through the main cities of the country in order to attend the most important parties, festivals and afters. Throughout time, he grew a strong passion for mixing and producing, releasing his works with more than 100 labels worldwide while last year he founded Eli.sound to promote new talents in the scene and established artists alike. For ETRAX09 he invites OutsiDER (RU), known for his collaborations with Conceptual, Natural Beat Recordings, Punchis Records, Inwave and Kootz Music as well as Brent, who worked with labels like Force Of Habit, Wowie Music, Up The Volume and Black Hole Recordings.

While the original “Excusez-moi, Monsieur” reveals a deep tech rhythm flavoured with abstract textures and eerie vocals, Son of Elita‘s Mystical Cut goes even deeper, exploring slow-paced syncopated percussion elements which elegantly intertwine with spacious breakdowns, wobbling atmospheres and twisted effects. The other three tracks are equally enjoyable, with “PréSence” opening the EP with a solid minimal vibe while “Sentiment” focuses on an uplifting electric sound which gets expanded by Brent with his re-interpretation.
