American electronic music venture Like.Minded takes a step forward in their relentless activity in the scene and announces the first vinyl pressing to arrive in December with Russian artist Wyro being the one in charge of the production, alongside Bryz on remix duties. Titled “Mirage EP”, the wax delivers three original cuts designed with sublime minimalistic nuances, driving techy rhythms and immersive textures, perfect for the dancefloor as well as for inner journeys you can experience while listening to the record at home.

Like.Minded is a community-based brand aimed at uniting people with a common affinity for electronic music and culture. Located in Southern California and founded in 2014 by Anderson M, Matt Hill and Borbi, the imprint has been showcasing numerous local and international artists on their ongoing podcast series or at their weekly event hosted by Kitsch Bar in Costa Mesa. Becoming a fully developed record label was just a matter of time and that time is now. For the first record in their catalogue, we see Engineer Records label-head Kirill Kalashnikov aka Wyro dropping an amazing minimal journey so we invite you to enjoy the full-length title track “Mirage” exclusively on feeder sound:

“As most of my tracks, this has started as a spontaneous tweaking on my modular case. In a few hours, the track was coming along with a dreamy night desert vibe and a rolling broken beat.”

“Mirage” opens the EP with a wandering yet driving arp rounded out by a masterfully compressed bassline, energetic percussive patterns and bright background pads, all carefully intertwined at around 125BPM. “Moonsoon” follows with a deeper vibe, taking the tempo a bit lower and introducing a reverberated grand piano to the story, adding a warm sound to the A-Side. On the flipside we first find the swinging flavours of “Sprouts”, an ear-catching rhythm paired with a lush, pitch-bent chord and breezy vocal samples that carry the mind of the listener to a spacious dimension. Closing the wax, Bryz works his magic on the re-interpretation of “Sprouts”, adding a subtle shuffle to the percussion along with clean analogue keys and airy breakdowns.
