The next chapter to arrive on vinyl in early January 2021 from Priku‘s Atipic Lab venture sees local artist Cosmjn returning to the label with two driving cuts, designed with sublime old-school elements which explore inner and outer dimensions with a forward-thinking approach to the minimal genre. Started in 2018, the series features artists like Arapu, Faster, Floog, Vlad Arapasu, VincentIulian, Aparte & Dan Blatov, Livio & Roby, Direkt and Lizz.

With more time to spend in the studio as the pandemic put all the parties and festivals on hold, Cosmjn kept himself busy this year, working on new productions, remixes and selections for various podcast platforms. Among the labels he collaborated with we find Playedby, Sono Unica, Underground Town, Eastenderz, More Than Music and Midas Touch, while some tracks have been dropped independently on Bandcamp.

Side A features the immersive vibes of “The 90’s Generation”, an elegant piece designed with a spacious rhythm and a prominent bassline, relentless synth chords, warm background textures and reverberated vocals that sprout here and there, adding even more magic to the whole journey. Side B is reserved for “Cold Touch”, a melancholic minimal cut flavoured with breaks and equally driving synth patterns that flow along with all the other layers. While the arrangement displays several variations the switches leave enough room for the solid bass to fall into focus, without interrupting the percussive elements. Both tracks have a classic structure embedded into them, reminding the listener about the old-school movement, where raw sounds and driving rhythms were highlighted in each composition.
