feeder sound exclusive premiere: Octave – Aqua (Hostox Remix) [Need For Sound]
The third release to arrive from Need For Sound features four uplifting house-infused cuts signed by Gabi.B, Octave, Hostox and Tarek JR. Directed by Nima Gorji and Octave, the label functions as a digital outpost for groovy and progressive sounds brought forward by themselves alongside artists like Lukea, Christian Burkhardt, Sakdat & Balaur. NFS003 sure delivers the vibes, with the mastering being provided by Abel Soleil and the artwork by Zgarie-Disc (Modan).
Octavian Rotaru aka Octave has been present on the international scene for quite some time now, collaborating with imprints like Low To High Records, Chelsea Hotel, Celo, Stamp, Eagervision, Welter and Hubble Recordings while also delivering amazing DJ sets in various locations, from time to time. For this venture, he invites local DJ and producer Hostox to drop an engaging re-interpretation of “Aqua”, which we invite you to enjoy exclusively on feeder sound:
With the original mix going for a wobbling microhouse sound, the arrangements leave enough room for twisting and turning combinations. The drumming pattern is taken into a broken dimension, perfect for all the other layers to sweep through the frequencies with style and reverberate outwards with ease. The electric feeling blends right well with the bassline and synth channels, so enjoy with the volume up!
“Lifeform” by Gabi.B opens the VA while “Thunders” closes it with a funky swing, delivering a perfect setting for the other tracks to flow by. And so they do, as Octave unleashes his distinct take on modern electronica with established producers at his side. This musical journey maintains a dynamic feeling throughout, so make sure you browse through the snippets below:
