feeder sound exclusive premiere: Camelia – Shake [Vivus Records]
Miami-based DJ and producer Dylan Lopez aka Camelia headlines Vivus Records‘ ninth vinyl instalment with four celestial tracks wrapped under No Room EP. The material already enjoys support from the likes of Sepp, Nu Zau, Cally, Mihigh, Vern and Ted Amber, as the sounds brought forward here keep to the warm, profound and progressive aspects of Dylan’s take on modern electronica as well as to the label’s distinct featured soundscapes.
Throughout time, Vivus delivered amazing EPs from Macarie, Direkt, Silat Beksi, Laboratori OTK, Rowlanz, Josh Wicks and one of the imprint’s main figures, Daniel Broesecke. Inviting Dylan to the family marks yet another important moment on their intriguing musical journey while the artist adds another top-quality 12″ to his discographic history, which includes collaborations with Botanic Minds, Sports Records, RORA, Fake Society, Joule and Default.
💥 Let’s enjoy B1 “Shake” from No Room EP exclusively on feder sound and explore the tracks in more depth:
The cut opens the B Side of the album with a funky swing, flavoured with electric vocal samples and several rhythmic variations. The wobbling background pads meet with acidic arrangements while the minimalistic, steady-paced percussive core leads all the layers into a dynamic dimension, perfect to be enjoyed at peak time moments at any kind of party. Following and closing the wax, “True Blue” reveals a more melancholic theme and a weighty sound, suitable for morning sets or afternoon laid-back moments.
Side A opens with the title-track “No Room”, a darker piece dominated by a powerful baseline that will take control of all your senses with its hypnotizing effects. The stripped-down composition sure delivers a true frequency sweeper while A2, “Phantom”, drops a more colourfull and groovy vibration. A highly recommended record from Camelia right here!
