The second transmission from our feeder sound live-streaming series for this year invited Kozo and Irlo to explore the beautiful combination of electronic music and visual arts.
On May 21st, we went live for 2h alongside Kozo‘s inspiring vinyl selection and Irlo‘s wild imagination, which is reflected in the abstract take on colours and shapes that animate his painting. Both being veterans in their distinct mediums, expect an immersive adventure which you can now watch on our youtube channel here.
Kozo is one of the most prominent figures in the local scene when it comes to house and techno music and, throughout time, we had numerous encounters at parties, behind the scenes and now, at our secret headquarters. Since our last meeting, he definitely spent more time in the studio, delivering four digital albums on his Bandcamp page including Bricks EP we’ve explored in more depth on our EP Review column. Another recent material that drops a lot of funky flavours is titled “Clap if you miss your hat”, produced in collaboration with Dan Andrei under the AK41 alias. Listen to “Ghetto Update” in full-length on our exclusive premiere column:
Now, as the weekend begins and autumn slowly sets in, we invite you to enjoy Kozo‘s set from the comfort of your warm home. Adjust the volume and enjoy!
“I am serious about having fun when I am playing and making fun of serious people when I’m not.” – feeder insider w/. Kozo
feeder sound LIVE with Kozo slowly introduces laid-back sounds and deep house rhythms while growing in intensity as the tracks align one after another. Among rare gems by Matthew Dear, Petre Inspirescu and Quizz, the selection drifts in various subgenres infused with microhouse or breaks arrangements, as well as funky-jazz sweeps like we hear at the end of the recording.
Take a closer look at the 11 feeder sound live inspiring sets & paintings here and stay tuned for more surprises! ✨
