Romanian events platform and record label Puls returns to its OFFWAX digital series with “Review EP” signed by newcomer Razvan Ban. The two original cuts arrive as a limited release of only 200 copies while early support comes from artists like Silat Beksi, Cosmjn, Miroloja, Cojoc and Kubrick. The local venture promotes quality minimal music for quite some time now, organising underground events and publishing rare digital gems. At the parties, among their guests, we’ve seen Mihai Pol, Paul Coman, Sublee, Macarie, Robert Apetrei, Bryz, Stoilku, Vlad Arapasu, Chiodan and Guy From Downstairs.
As a producer, Razvan Ban so far collaborated with Seism Productions, Welter Records and Kootz Music, with his latest “Pluto EP” being delivered through Capodopere. When it comes to mixing, he often records fresh sets for various podcast series while his skills as a selector were showcased alongside the best of the best or in long, private sessions.

The track kicks in with a solid bassline to which numerous micropatterns are slowly added and then the drumming begins. The claps signal for a joyous, uplifting mood and that’s exactly what we’re going to get. The composition drops an engaging and swinging microhouse vibe flavoured with intricate breakdowns, abstract effects and subtle, warm vocal modulations. Enjoy the ride!
The title track is equally enjoyable, yet it explores deeper minimal, going for a straight pumping abstract scenario, where the musical narrative reveals ever-evolving textures and several rhythmic switches. The pads here go fully psychedelic, rendering the EP a must-have for its highly energetic content, which can make its way in peak-time selections with ease.
