Camelia – High Beams EP [Fake Society]

Miami-based artist Dylan Lopez aka Camelia returns to Fake Society imprint with “High Beams EP” alongside local icon Cristi Cons on remix duties. The wax provides four tracks crafted for peak-time moments on the dancefloor, flavoured with dreamy minimalistic arrangements and progressive rhythmic patterns. This 12” makes a great addition to an amazing catalogue so far signed by the likes of Haokah, RWN, Lizz, Sublee and Los Bastoneros.

Camelia slowly built a name for himself and smoothly stepped into the international electronic music scene with his distinct productions published by established record labels like Botanic Minds, Sports Records, RORA, Default and Joule, aside from his own venture. His most recent sounds are surely immersive, going beyond mainstream minimal into uncharted territories where ever-evolving interpretations explore the boundaries. Let’s dive in!

Camelia - High Beams EP [Fake Society] 02

Side A opens with the title track, “High Beams”, a hypnotic piece that features highly-charged percussive arrangements leading the complementary textures into a spiralling journey while the remix dropped by Cristi Cons switches gears, going for a more old-school pumping house-infused rhythm.

Side B kicks in with “Gear Shift”, a truly introspective psychedelic incursion into the ever-evolving realms of minimal and progressive genres. Here, the breakdowns reveal new crystalline worlds as the organic nature of all the elements intertwine in order to form new layers and so on. “Future Memory” closes the wax with an equally deep resonance, concluding yet another fantastic record, perfect to be played and enjoyed anytime!
