userUNKNWN, Soyro – Universe Inside EP [Rhanamh]

Vietnamese record label and podcast series Rhanamh presents its first vinyl-only release in the form of “Universe Inside EP” signed by userUNKNWN and Soyro with Silat Beksi delivering a deeply introspective remix. The material sees the two artists joining forces once more after last year they collaborated for an amazing 12” on PianoForest Records. This pressing arrives in a limited number of 300 copies and sure delivers the vibes while enjoying early support from Sepp, VincentIulian, Arapu, Barac, Nu Zau, Mihai Pol, Direkt, Sublee, Cosmjn and others.

userUNKNWN‘s recent reinterpretations of Afriqua’s “Aleph” or Camelia’s “Solaris” are equally solid with his previous edits and definitely hint at a distinct sound, build around trippy minimal and progressive elements. Although rare, his selections are also highly enjoyable, either he’s behind the decks or recording podcast sessions, like feeder sound 185:

Soyro recently announced the release of “Esser” EP on vinyl with Kanja Records after a period in which he dropped several high-quality independent digital works across various online platforms. His sound is focused on atmospheric journeys combined with steady-paced rhythms and ever-evolving textures. On remix duties for RNM001 we find Modeight Records’ head-chef Silat Beksi dropping the hot vibes, as usual, so let’s dive in!

Side A features “Universe”, a swinging piece designed with progressive elements, trance-inducing arrangements and laid-back breakdowns. The wobbling bassline is perfectly balanced by prominent kicks and shuffling hi-hats while the electric chords and aerial textures will surely take anyone for a cosmic ride.

Side B opens with “Inside” which goes fully psychedelic, proving once more that perfectly calibrated minimal electronic music has yet reached its limits. The spiralling pads and crystalline effects are in focus here, while the driving percussion will set an energetic pace throughout the whole journey.

Closing the wax, Silat Beksi goes for a melancholic approach on B1, unleashing a deep, cosmic remix that ever-evolves into bright resonating patterns and variations. A forward-thinking take on modern electronica right here!
