Let’s dive deep into minimal electronic music with this week’s episode of the feeder sound podcast series brought forward by Varela @ Internal Connections

Among the artists that went live during the most recent Internal Connections live streaming event, we find Austin-based Varela, a dedicated selector that throughout time managed to put Texas on the international map of underground house and techno music. Having his name associated with ubiyu, Movement Collective and Blacktone, Carlos Varela has been active on the American scene for quite some time now, always delivering top-notch music to the people.

From deep and hypnotic soundscapes to solid thumping rhythms and spiralling tempos, all delivered by some rare and truly underground pieces, this set focuses on taking you for a ride into flamboyant dimensions, where things are spiced with breakbeat-driven moments as well as spacious dubby cuts.

Adjust the volume of your speakers and enjoy!

“Although some dark, melancholic nuances develop the mood of the mix, there is also a freshness and hopeful energy that invites a funky feel.” – Varela

feeder sound 278 mixed by Varela reveals a strong, straight-forward, rhythmic yet breaky, minimal selection. A journey that is thought-provoking and takes listeners to a deep and introspective place, the set also highlights a surprising flair and positively dramatic tone.
