Start your weekend with a refreshing feeder sound podcast session delivered by the British artist Nepotek!
Splitting his time between Japan and the UK, Shibuya-based DJ and producer Nepotek has performed at Fabric, Lion & Lamb and Zubar while also making appearances for Hoxton FM, Bloop London Radio and Noods Radio. After many years spent behind the decks and in the studio, he now helms his own freshly founded label Plus Future Records, a platform dedicated to artists that produce sounds outside of their comfort zones. His distinct style incorporates various shades of deep house, tech-house, minimal techno and even dub or ambient influences, making his productions and selections highly enjoyable on the dancefloor or at home.
“Sapphire EP”, the first material to arrive from the imprint, sees Nepotek dropping two original cuts while the well-known Canadian artist Jay Tripwire delivers a remix for one of the tracks, which also opens today’s podcast episode. Jay has also been on the line-up at the first Internal Connections live streaming event two months ago and we invite you to watch and enjoy the recording here.
“It has obviously been a tough summer because of COVID-19 and so I wanted to mix something uplifting. Music is always the answer during tough times.” – Nepotek
feeder sound 274 mixed by Nepotek reveals and engaging ride through carefully picked house rhythms, including freshly released tracks by Kris Ramea, Maximo, Ray Mono, BenShock and Maurice Giovannini, among others. Hidden between the tracks you can also find “Sapphire“, the track that titles the first EP published by the artist’s own venture, Plus Future Records. Adjust the volume of your speakers and enjoy! 🔊
