Various Artists – SBV002 [Soblazn Music]
Ukrainian imprint Soblazn Music returns with its second pressing, a Various Artists compilation which features four tracks signed by Tulbure, Andu Simion, Cumuli & Bvrton and label-owner Yaroslav Lenzyak. Designed with intricate and deep minimalistic rhythms, this package of distinct cuts adds even more flavour to the catalogue where you can find vinyl and digital releases from Armnd, Kaitaro, ROAR, Claudio Gasparini, Mauricio Spencer, Zambiancki, Enivrèz Vous, CL-ljud, Patraulea, Rolf Ono and Petit Batou, to name only a few.
Specialized in microhouse, minimal techno and experimental electronica, Soblazn Music is active for quite some time now and always managed to bring forward elegant, sophisticated and forward-thinking music. The artworks also stand out as each design perfectly captures the mood of the releases, creating an outstanding concept which enjoys massive support from many artists in the international scene.
Side A opens with “Lisa” by Tulbure, a warm composition built with a prominent bassline, steady-paced percussion patterns and subtle jazzy flavours. The cut flows with ease, delivering a laid-back vibe perfect for warm-ups or late afternoon selections. Following, we find “Mirakl” by Yaroslav Lenzyak, an abstract voyage crafted with pulsating layers that intricately blend with glitches and bleeps, quirky drumming and numerous variations.
Side B reveals “Skala” by Andu Simion, an elegant atmospheric house cut infused with deep melodic elements and acidic insertions and “Jericho” by Cumuli & Bvrton, a slightly uplifting groove that packs amazingly intertwined background textures and themes that roll organically with the reverberating percussion. A must-have for any collector or selector right here!
