Sam Tompkins unveils heart-on-sleeve new single ‘Kings’

UK singer-songwriter Sam Tompkins returns with new single ‘Kings’, out 25th June via Island Records.

A heartfelt track that’s steeped in emotion, ‘Kings’ sees Sam use his powerful vocals to communicate the love for the men in his life.

‘’Kings’ is a song about brotherhood,” Sam explains. “It’s about telling the men in your life that you love them, care for them and will always do so. I often think that men don’t fully understand the power that showing emotion has, so this record is hopefully something that sparks a chain reaction in boys and men of all ages…’

It follows recent three-track EP ‘isolation diaries’; a self-written, stripped back acoustic ode to love in the digital age. Sam celebrated the release of his EP with an ‘isolation diaries’ Virtual World Tour supported by Live Nation, during which he performed separate shows for fans in Europe, Asia and Australia/NewZealand. Sam was also invited by Google to perform at one of their ‘Nest Sessions’, which were designed to improve listeners’ moods over the May Bank holiday weekend. Other performers included Jessie Ware, Olly Alexander, Celeste and Mae Muller.

Channelling raw emotion into an affecting, heart-on-sleeve single, ‘Kings’ is Sam Tompkins at his honest best.
