Bexu – Sense of Perception EP [Stay Random Natasha]

Vincent Casanova‘s imprint Stay Random Natasha returns with its third pressing titled “Sense of Perception EP” signed by Cluj-based DJ and producer Bexu. The wax features three original cuts and a remix delivered by the label head himself and will only be available in a limited number of copies, so make sure you get yours in time as this material weaves a web of sophisticated surrealist bounce throughout its decadent, liquid moods and sturdy club-ready production quality.

Bexu has been around electronic music for a long time and steadily developed a strong passion for it, starting to experiment with mixing and production along the way. While some of his works remain unreleased or available only through his online channels, others got published by 123BPM Records, Käse Kool’s sublabel KK., Museme, Arupa Music and Welter Records. This EP adds even more spice to Stay Random Natasha‘s catalogue, which previously includes two Various Artists compilations that showcase productions from Spiri:tual, Fulvio Calá, Nicolas Bouzas, Odette, Dcore and Anrilov.

Side A opens with “Spectralis”, a wobbling deep minimalistic piece that focuses on its resonant bassline, bubbling effects and warm background textures. The arrangement of the layers creates a hypnotic effect, taking the listener into a relaxed state of mind while rolling with a dynamic drumming pattern complemented by numerous variations and synth notes. Following, “Ephemera” reveals a funky microhouse take flavoured with ongoing energy brought in to the table by the elegantly balanced core sequences. The bubbly bassline remains in focus while the swirling sensation offered by the other elements make this cut perfect for the dancefloor.

The B-Side first features “Tirada”, a more mysterious steady-paced minimalistic track, where the background vocals tell an amazing story that triggers an emotional response, followed by Vincent‘s remix which receives more additional layers and where the percussion becomes more dynamic while the effects recreate a cosmic journey that sure makes this EP a must-have for any vinyl collector or selector.
