Well-known for his vinyl releases with 4Plae, Algorhythmic, Botanic Minds, Questionmark Records, Vivus, Micro Orbit Records, GFD and Abduction, Andrei Popa aka Direkt returns to his digital playground on Bandcamp, where he recently dispatched a series of tracks and EPs, just like most artists did in the last couple of weeks.

With gigs in Romania, The United Kingdom, France, Russia and Belarus, Direkt has slowly built a name for himself while sharing the decks with artists like Miss I, Guy From Downstairs, Livio & Roby, Vlad Arapasu, Vinyl Speed Adjust, John Dimas, Cally, SIT and Faster, among others. His productions and selections incorporate groovy and minimalistic house and techno rhythms, smoothly modulated textures and introspective atmospheres, while his passion always drives him to explore more and constantly evolve his techniques.

One of the latest materials released by him remains “Untitled” and we’re very excited to invite you on a deep musical journey with “Past Self” exclusively on feeder sound:

The track brings forward an uplifting composition that slowly reveals itself and displays a constant progression throughout. The solid drumming and the phat bassline flow steadily alongside warm background textures and swinging synth arrangements, creating a spacious and organic atmosphere that has enough balance to make the cut perfect for the club. We’ll definitely hear this one on the dancefloors once the lockdown comes to an end!

The other track titled “Iso Late” has a more electric feeling embedded into it, unleashing strong frequencies and groovy minimalistic sequences. Here, the numerous micropatterns and warped effects elegantly merge with a wobbling bassline and thumping percussive elements providing an immersive dimension.
