#stayhome #week3 For this episode of the feeder sound podcast series we invite DJ and producer Cali Lanauze to deliver an engaging mix for you to enjoy and take your mind off what’s happening in the world right now. Music offers relaxation and dancing while staying home is a rewarding experience for your mind, soul and body.
Cali Lanauze was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, a small island located in the northeast Caribbean Sea. Although he’s very young, he’s been around for some time, mixing, producing and promoting quality electronic music. Passionate about everything he does, he brought extra flavour to the local scene as well as abroad, performing in places like New York, Miami Beach, Tampa, Washington D.C., Ciudad Juárez, Toronto and Barcelona. Among the labels that published his productions we find My Favorite Robot, Sleep is Commercial, Better on Foot, Bla Bla, Serialism Records, Flying Circus, Eye Spy and Motek Music.
In 2016 he founded Opulence alongside Jonny Cruz, an independent record label, arts and visual project where they dispatched two EPs and also invited other artists to join the adventure. So far counting seven releases in both vinyl and digital format the imprint collaborated with the likes of Javier Carballo, Cesare vs Disorder, Pablo Mateo, Ryan Crosson, Mike Shannon, Roman Fluegel, Moscoman, Martin Buttrich, Guido Schneider, Cristi Cons, Maher Daniel and Cerrot, among others.
“I recorded this podcast just before the quarantine and all this madness that’s happening in the world started. Few weeks before this, I had the pleasure of meeting all-time favorites and Bucharest own Livio & Roby. These guys have inspired me throughout my career, so meeting them was fresh air. After exchanging music, ideas and more, I recorded this podcast. You can find a “dubby” and definitely “clubby” mix. It includes tracks from veterans like Mathew Jonson to Peru’s international heroes Deaf Pillow, Topper, Taimur Agha and others plus the latest Serialism EP coming up in the next week.” – Cali Lanauze
