London-based Eagervision Records presents “Soapta Timpului EP” signed by Francesco Nikolai and Matteo Musica aka Nedeea, an amazing four-tracker designed with resonant textures and engaging drumming sequences ready to take on any kind of dancefloor and soundsystem worldwide. The material also includes an uplifting remix of the title track delivered by Pük, a fresh name on the underground electronic music scene in Leeds, where he’s known for his residency at the local venue A Bar Below. Early support comes from the likes of Laurent Garnier, Lizz, Giuliano Lomonte, Crihan, Cosmjn and others.

The Italo-Romanian duo reveals an impressive authentic sound on their first release, ingeniously incorporating elements from the minimal, progressive and breakbeat subgenres into the production process. From deep and ethereal atmospheres to steaming rhythms the EP has it all and easily stands as a solid argument for the artists’ craftsmanship in modern music-making. Let’s dive in and explore the tracks in more depth!

The EP kicks in with the title track “Soapta Timpului”, a steady-paced cut that will definitely set some coordinates for a far-out daydream. The percussion provides a strong balance while the ever-evolving background pads evoke a surreal feeling which is backed-up by a radiant choir of alluring voices that help with building tension. The hypnotic effect is also felt on the next piece titled “Destul De”. Here, the tempo is set a bit higher and constant energy is provided by the carefully crafted organic synth patterns and pounding rhythm. The reverberations add some spicy dub feeling to the whole as the spacious frequencies are set to get you ready for introspective moments in time.

Following, “Oriental Oriental” steps out of the grid and drops a twisted electronic sound that explores traditional instruments, breakbeat-infused drumming and warm notes, all merged together into a slowly-building piece that constantly builds on itself. We find Pük‘s remix closing the EP with style, as the uplifting momentum of the title track is emphasized here, with the cut going progressive and offering a dynamic approach. A must-have release for every collector and selector of good vibes!
