This week’s episode of the feeder sound podcast series features a fresh recording form Deez’s performance at Imbold Gallery in Bucharest as a part of the Un-hidden Romanian Culture events organized in order to celebrate National Culture Day.
Wednesday we invited the public to actively participate in two events organized simultaneously in Bucharest at Imbold Gallery and in Brașov at Visssual, in order to celebrate National Culture Day. The exhibition in Bucharest presented original works by Maria Bălan, Pisica Pătrată, Irina Mocanu, John Dot S, Livi Po, Robert Obert, Skinny Bunny and Ionuț Popescu, while also having a live-painting session with Robert Obert and two workshops with Maria Bălan and John Dot S (linocut engraving and stencils) included in the program. The sound was provided by Dragutesku and Deez who carefully selected inspiring electronic music for the people to enjoy.
Catalin Virgil aka Deez is active on the Romanian underground scene for quite some time now, always delivering the good vibes through his sound. Passionate about house, tech-house, deep-house, techno and minimal, he played at hundreds of parties sharing the decks with artists like Ada Kaleh, Crihan, Ted Amber, Octave, Dragutesku, Trik, Lizz, Empat, Cosmjn, Bill Patrick, Kozo, Suciu, Nu Zau, Suolo and many many others. He also dedicates time to music-making so we encourage you to dig for his productions online and be amazed.
feeder sound 246 mixed by Deez reveals a steady-paced blend of deep minimalistic techno and microhouse tracks, all elegantly combined to provide an organic flow of rhythms and sounds. The fluid transitions add even more flavour to the journey while the intricate patterns and spacious background textures make the recording energetic and introspective at the same time. Dive in!
