The third episode of the feeder sound LIVE stream series had Ada Kaleh and KSELEQOQYNQYSHY as guests, both sharing their unique set of skills in order to deliver an amazing blend of music and art. Time to listen to the full 2h recording of Iulian’s eclectic DJ set on our soundcloud page.

On the 25th of September, while the visual artist Lucian Niță aka KSELEQOQYNQYSHY unleashed his creativity on a 2×1,5m canvas, Ada Kaleh dispatched a distinct sound narrative in tandem with the live painting session. Taking place at the feeder.ro headquarters, the event was broadcasted live on our online platform and received a lot of positive feedbacks, as both artists displayed a forward-thinking vision through their work.

Passionate about music since he was young, Iulian Cuculea intensely explored various genres and subgenres, starting to produce his own sounds in the early ’90s using different aliases. After a couple of years, it was electronic music and mostly techno which inspired him to develop a new artistic identity, one that incorporates a complex combination of influences, from ambient and dub to trance and psychedelic. In 2013 he makes his debut as Ada Kaleh with “La Răsărit” on the German label Subotnik, followed by “Roua Dimineții / O Seară De Răgaz” on the local imprint The Rabbit Hole. In the same year, he establishes his eponymous record label and dispatches “Devotare / Diafan” followed by “Introspecție” in 2014, materials which receive massive support from many renowned DJs and producers. From there on he continuously walked on an ascending path, becoming a well-known presence on both local and international scenes, with several top-quality releases under his belt, as well as with numerous appearances at parties and festivals in Romania and across Europe.

feeder sound LIVE with Ada Kaleh kicks in with Sascha Dive’s “Underground Is My Home” and reveals a dynamic selection that flows through deep house, acidic grooves, dubby sounds and a little bit of minimal. Infused with old-school cuts and new arrivals alike, the mix also includes tracks like “Do It” by Glissando Bros, “Lovers Roll” by OCH, “Passion” by Markus Nikolai, as well as a taste of the artist’s own production, taken from AK007.
