Living and working in Cluj-Napoca, Anastasiei Andrei aka Incolor is well-known on both local and international scenes as one forward-thinking artist with a distinct taste in music. He cultivated his passion from an early age and developed a style which incorporates various shades of house and techno, bringing forward a minimalistic, dynamic and melodic sound with his selections or productions. In 2011 he delivered his first EP and since then he continued to delight the underground audience with his rhythms, collaborating with labels like Palavre, Hibit, Capodopere, Senzorial, Pleasure Zone Limited, Modeight, Acmé and The Senss.
With his releases enjoying support from the likes of Rhadoo, Cezar, Raresh, Petre Inspirescu, Priku, Dubtil, Arapu, Suciu, Cristi Cons and other established artists, Incolor has slowly built a name for himself and dedicated more and more time perfecting his techniques in the studio and at the decks. Aside from his journeys across Romania, he performed in Israel, Spain, Bulgaria and the United Kingdom alongside Ada Kaleh, Lizz, Vlad Arapasu, Paul K, Mihigh, Alex Font, Cap, Livio & Roby, Sublee, Oana and Piktor, to name only a few.
“I am kind of a paradoxical person and this can be applied in music too. I am between both sides of this kind of music: I love that classy and easy-going minimal but at the same time I like grooves and that classic housy sound also. Some people consider this to be strange, some of them consider it to be a perfect balance. Usually, most of the people stay in a single “corner” and they like a single music genre while judging others for their music taste. People should understand that music and all kind of arts (and also life itself) are subjective, it’s all about everyone’s taste. Nothing is bad, nothing is wrong, it’s all about your taste and experience. Of course, you can “criticize” a track but only technically, not the genre itself.” – Incolor
feeder sound 239 mixed by Incolor reveals a balanced recording which incorporates quirky percussive elements, growling basslines, glitched micropatterns and abstract textures. The hypnotic nature of the tracks creates a specific atmosphere that builds tension slowly while constantly transmitting energy through carefully crafted transitions.
