Moscow-based Engineer Records presents the fourth pressing in its catalogue titled “Juliemadiscake”. The 12” reveals three original tracks signed by Wyro in collaboration with Mobile Soul System, Alfij and Farid Odilbekov, as well as a remix delivered by local artist Mihai Pol.

Label-head Kirill Kalashnikov aka Wyro is well-known for his amazing selections and productions, with his activity spanning for almost 20 years now. He’s also running one of the top electronic music schools in Russia called Tramplin.PRO with branches in Moscow and Saint-Petersburg, while his music is played by top names in the scene like Mihai Popoviciu, Raresh, Nu Zau, Leeroy Thornhill, iO (Mulen) and Janeret. Aside from his own playground, he worked with imprints like Zeskullz, Highway Records, Baile Musik, Fokuz, Covert Operations, Whoyostro, Cyclic and many others. For this wax, he joins forces with Artem Ruchka aka Mobile Soul System for a steaming collaboration, a young and talented producer with publishings on Kindisch, Tip-Tap, Conceptual, Rewire and Razom.

Together they unleash “Juliemadiscake”, an immersive composition designed with deep atmospheres, dynamic drumming and subtle psychedelic flavours. The cut builds tension through spacious moments while bringing in and out of focus the elegant micropatterns that roll along with the percussion. The alluring effect is passed over to Mihai Pol‘s remix, where nostalgic guitar strings and warm pads create a dream-like sensation. Flowing at a steady pace, the track reverberates with lightweight frequencies making it perfect for a laid-back selection.

On Side B we first find Alfij with “Tribes”, a rolling piece that brings forward intense arrangements, potent percussive elements and a plethora of bleeps and swirls that will take your head for a spin. The bassline sure drops a pinch of acid while the effects add even more depth. Closing, there’s “Baku” by Farid Odilbekov, a melodic cut that packs a heavy uptempo feeling. The chords and synth patterns drop a funky vibe and stand as an argument for the artist’s versatility, known for his releases with Soblazn Music, Moira Audio Recordings, Other Thoughts and Encased, to name a few.
