feeder sound 50 mixed by The Model
Radu Muntean aka The Model is a veteran DJ, producer and promoter of electronic dance music for more than 20 years, with an intense activity dedicated to the Romanian scene and its ever-growing underground culture. His impressive discographic material includes numerous heavyweight labels, notably Traum Schallplatten, Underl_ne, Crosstown Rebels, Autoreply Music, Local Records, Origami Sound and Housewax. His distinct sound has been named “power-house” as it delivers solid rhythms and engulfing textures, while darker touches of techno and baroque elements have been present in his works on numerous occasions.
On September 22nd 2008, he dropped some serious Italo-Disco grooves in Romania alongside Tom Wilson, Alexander Robotnik and Mick Willis in Bucharest, at the Cabaret nightclub, a party that remained in our memory for a long time. His explorations in the whimsical dimensions of eclectic music brought him support from the likes of Sven Vath, James Zabiela, Sasha, Ministry of Sound, Mihai Dobre, Marika, Raresh and many other international and local artists. The next natural step for him was to establish his own label, Adult Central, where, aside from his own EPs he published music coming from Brendon Moeller, Minus & Ion, Ada Kaleh and Sepp.
“[…] I think that you gain and keep originality by exposing yourself to different things, various styles of music and art, thoughts, mentalities and think for yourself, what suits you, what is right for you […]” – The Model (feeder insider)
feeder sound 50 mixed by The Model kicks-in with a funny Romanian voice recording and slowly fades into an engaging carousel of pure pumping rhythms, spiced with acidic cuts and solid old-school vibes. The take on the sound reminds us of the classic warehouse parties of the 90s’, where an uptempo atmosphere was maintained throughout the whole setting.
