WE or US brings forward another timeless release already supported by renowned DJs around the world, in the form of WE02US, a Various Artists compilation packing four fresh and amazing minimal cuts signed by Dragosh, Fabrizio Siano, Plusculaar and Anton Pau.

With the first VA dispatched in 2015, followed by two EPs from Kaitaro and Maurice Giovannini, the fourth instalment in the imprint’s catalogue stands as a solid argument for the brand’s distinct vision on electronic dance music. We’re very happy to explore this 12” in more depth, so let’s teleport into abstract dimensions with the full-length B1 “Medusa’s Head” dropped by local artist Plusculaar, exclusively on feeder sound:

The cut reveals a groovy and hypnotic rhythm, designed with quirky percussive elements, glitched micropatterns and intricate layering. Tension is built throughout the whole composition, which doesn’t follow a particular sequence, yet it evolves into abstract textures and subtle gloomy background atmospheres. Another example of high-class production coming from Plusculaar, well-known for his releases with labels like Cardinal, Esemtrax, Mulen, Inwave, What Now Becomes LTD, Enough! Music, Archipel and his own playground, Binaural Arts.

With recent materials published by Unreleased Plattform, Otaku, Leftback and No Time For Love, Dragosh opens the wax with “Have A”, a strong minimalistic track selected by Rhadoo for his Fabric Compilation. Spinning with a heavy bassline in focus, we start our journey guided by engaging vocal samples which call for a dance. Next on Side A, there’s “Simultaneous Thought” by Fabrizio Siano, a real frequency shaker built with a thumping beat and electric voices that flow with energy. The closing cut “Synergy” delivered by Anton Pau goes fully experimental while maintaining an eerie tension and a steady-paced rhythm. Modulated vocals are present here as well, revealing a mysterious story that blends perfectly with the spacious sound of the track.
