feeder sound open call – TRACKS
Ben Rau [Inkal / Meta]
- Mryn – Unknown Station
- iON – Cum O Dai (Original Mix)
- Parea – Pleja
Elia [Unic records] & Hendrik [Unic records]
- Bazait – Road To Nowhere
– This cut ties together some very engaging elements. Bubbling acid lines, dub textures, breakbeat rhythms, and some gorgeous ambient pads. A tough combination to mix down and this artist, in particular, has done it extremely well. The track is elegant and progressive in its flow. As each element is combined and things build, there is a real story being told here. Music is very much the art of storytelling and we feel some strong emotions in this cut, well done Bazait.
- Jack Cheler – Photography
– Not your average swinging minimalist house record, this cut builds into a very immersive groove. Deep, driving and with lots of attention to detail. The drum programming is tightly executed, lending plenty of punch whilst not overpowering the track. A complex blend of vocal lines, vaporous pads, and subtle synth stabs unite to form a hypnotic, pulsing soundscape overtop. Each has its own prominent moment in the mix, creating the perfect ebb and flow. Fabulous work by Jack Cheler. - Robert David – Arcusul Românesc
– A deep and moody groove from Robert David here. Crafty, bouncing bassline that drives the track whilst subtle pads and hazy tones float overtop. Nice progression throughout as added percussion and echoed violins add texture and help build the tempo. The drum programming is tightly knit and punchy. Really refined cut thats holds your attention. Great work Robert David.
