Let’s travel to an ethereal dimension of sounds alongside Katharine, our guest for this week’s episode of the feeder sound podcast series, hailing all the way from sunny Australia!

Perpetually promoting the good vibes along Australia’s East Coast since 1998 with numerous parties in the Byron Bay Hills and Melbourne, as well as 7 years of Saturday nights at the infamous Elsewhere Bar, Surfers Paradise, Katharine is a skilled selector, a dedicated mother and a true believer in all things good, full of love and sacred, just like our powerful connection with nature and all that is around us. She and her husband, veteran DJ and electronic music curator Ben Abrahams are Motion:Theory and they are well-known for their unique approach to modern rhythms, always delivering energising moments on the dancefloor. Their Motion:Theory:Music events series lead to collaborations with some of the best artists in the world, showcasing a fresh and profound sound.

Katharine‘s style incorporates sublime minimalistic sounds, soul-stirring psychedelic and funky arrangements, melodic explorations and a magical personal touch, bringing forward all that is needed for anyone to rejoice, dance and feel inspired. With music being an essential driving force in her life, her distinct vision reflects in her selections for labels and podcast series like Mesa Recordings, Inregistrari Interplanetare, Deep Seahorse, Killing Time Recordings, Art E and Microtechno Berlin.

“We are creative creatures, and all motion towards creation is healing. I ponder how miraculously things come together as we work with energy, whether it be finding music while raising children (and ourselves!), mixing it altogether without too much over-thinking and then giving it to others with the intent to bring joy and forge new connections, or engaging in another of the infinite possibilities life presents us.” – Katharine

feeder sound 230 mixed by Katharine will take you on an immersive journey for your mind, body and spirit, revealing an eclectic selection infused with deep and hypnotic rhythms, sidereal sounds and spacious atmospheres. Maintaining an engaging vibration throughout the whole set, the tracks smoothly flow and morph one into another, blurring the line between house and techno. Enjoy! 🚀

As unfortunate as it sounds, she has been recently diagnosed with a brain tumour and she’s putting a lot of energy into healing naturally and addressing this problem through alternative methods and modern treatment plans. Find out more about Katharine‘s story from her gofundme.com fundraiser campaign and choose to get involved and make a difference. Let’s show the world that healing from cancer is possible, that it’s an opportunity to unblock our energy and grow, emerging from the experience with a deeper respect for ourselves, our consciousness and our inner spiritual power. ☯
