The notorious local label Atipic returns with its eighth pressing, this time with Bogdan Ardeleanu aka Ardb at the controls. ATIPIC008 reveals four fresh top-notch compositions which remain untitled just like we’re accustomed to while the sound delivers an amazing blend of eclectic rhythms, incorporating smooth shades of minimalistic house and techno-infused arrangements that will undoubtedly shake dancefloors worldwide.

Bogdan is well-known for his musical journeys delivered alongside Dan Gheorghe and Andu Simion as Lisière Collectif as well as for his works with Filipp as Kosmogonik. Throughout time, he collaborated with renowned labels like Phonogramme, Muted Noise, Pariter, abc.ltd and LSR, whilst setting sails for his solo project and personal playground Geodesic. His sound is unique, bringing forward melodic sequences, solid beats and carefully crafted atmospheres, ready to take the listener into higher dimensions of modern electronic dance music.

Since 2016, Priku‘s imprint delivered mesmerising materials coming from himself and the likes of VincentIulian, Jorge Savoretti, Vlad Arapasu, Alexis Cabrera and Romar, with the Atipic Lab series featuring solid cuts signed by Arapu, Faster, Floog and Cosmjn. From Romania to the world, stay tuned as more delights are stored for the near future!

Side A opens with a wobbling cut that incorporates uplifting patterns and percussive elements, as well as bright pad strokes that set the pace of the wax. Designed with a subtle acidic feeling, the track is infused with an old-school sound that will be transferred to the other pieces. A2 goes deeper, dropping long-evolving background textures and harmonic vibrations, with the percussion maintaining an uptempo setting. On the flipside, B1 reveals a classic housy take that builds tension with breakbeat rhythms and solid bassline variations, while B2 goes progressive, unleashing a rotative and hypnotic minimalistic theme perfect for the after hours.
