Positiva mark 400th release with vinyl remix package of Paul Woolford’s ‘You Already Know’
Legendary dance music imprint Positiva Records are celebrating their 400th release with an all-new vinyl remix package of UK icon Paul Woolford’s dancefloor-focused single ‘You Already Know’, out today.
As well as an extended version of the original, the package includes a previously unreleased mix from Hot Creations favourite Richy Ahmed, the shimmering Gerd Janson remix and the club-ready D-Mix.
One of the most instantly recognisable record labels from the world of dance music, Positiva has clocked up a staggering 70 Top 10 hits and 14 UK #1 singles, while shifting over 40 million singles in the UK alone. At the heart of the scene for over a quarter of a decade, it has spawned a number of iconic music moments, including the infamous Spiller & Sophie Ellis-Bextor vs. Dane Bowers and Victoria Beckham chart battle in 2000, and David Guetta’s record-breaking run of top 5 singles between 2009 and 2012.
More recently, Avicii & Aloe Blacc broke all streaming records with 2013’s ‘Wake Me Up’, whilst David Zowie becoming the first ever Friday #1 with ‘House Every Weekend’ in 2015. This was all before Jonas Blue surpassed 6 billion streams worldwide with four Top 5 UK singles and five BRIT award nominations to his name.
Last year the imprint celebrated its 25th anniversary with a flurry of high-profile releases from the likes of Jonas Blue, Tiesto, Martin Solveig, and Jay Pryor, alongside a slew of cutting-edge underground releases from Woolford, One Bit, Eats Everything, Shadow Child, Purple Disco Machine and many others pushing the label into its next chapter.
Perhaps dance music’s most iconic record label, Positiva Records celebrate 400 releases in style with a dancefloor-focused new package.
