Expressive Records boss Ben Smethurst reveals his 2nd release for the label, with a wonderful slice of Disco House by way of a collaboration with the mighty vocal force, Barbara Tucker, titled ‘Don’t Wanna Lose Your Love’. Featuring a divine vocal performance from Barbara, this has all the essential credentials of a disco house classic, with gorgeous live strings, piano, driving latin percussion and proper live horns. The release also features some top musical heavyweights, including the legendary Philly string arranger Larry Gold (who performed with members of the original MFSB string section and the Philadelphia Orchestra); Robin Lee (Faze Action), who provides the driving Bass groove; and Trevor Mires (Jamiroquai, Incognito), who delivers punchy horn section. The package also includes a set of uplifting remixes from house legends David Morales and DJ Spen, along with a tasty dub from London’s Toni Economides. Fabulous!
