The mysterious record label Melodrom returns with its second pressing, this time Mihigh and Paul K siding for “Unified Field EP” to take you on a deep minimal journey. The 12” reveals two fresh and original tracks that go past the twelve minutes mark, one on each side. Expect the unexpected!

Mihigh is well-known for his intense activity in the scene, ever since 2007 when he became a resident at Club Midi in Cluj-Napoca and transformed the place to become a beacon for the Romanian electronic dance music culture. His forward-thinking selections and productions gained him massive support from a lot of renowned artists and in 2014 he founds his own playground, Midi Records Romania.

Paul K is a DJ and producer based in Cluj-Napoca who started out playing eclectic sets, perfecting his skills over several years. In time he explores music production as well, wanting to express himself better as a musician. He develops a distinct style, incorporating alluring and subtle grooves, complex sequences and warm feelings, making it impossible to stand still on the dancefloor while he performs.

On Side A “Light Of Unity” reveals an uncommon composition, infused with a plethora of effects, microtextures and heavy modulated sounds. The percussion undergoes a series of variations, maintaining a balance while everything in the background evolves. On Side B “Inside” goes deeper and delivers a melodic feeling embedded in the core layers, with swirling patterns coming in and out of focus as the cut flows. Both tracks are designed with intricate minimalistic arrangements, pointing out to the original style of the two producers.
