After his outstanding debut with “Ever EP” on Sintope Vinyl Series and his split 12” alongside Barac on Shamandrum, local artist Remus returns with “Universal Time EP” on the mysterious, freshly founded record label Blue. The first pressing coming from the imprint reveals two original tracks, one on each side, ready to teleport you through colourful shades of modern and forward-thinking house music.

Last seen in Timisoara sharing the decks with NTFO, Remus sure knows how to deliver! Groovy and melodic house rhythms carefully blended with mesmerising textures as well as ambient infused sequences is what we’re talking about here. His style is unique, making him a rising talent in the scene, with support coming from top producers and DJs all around the world. Stay tuned because more is coming or sure!

On Side A “Descent” reveals itself as a dreamy and engaging cut at the same time, with rolling beats, reverberating notes and deep patterns flowing smoothly, lead by a very catchy sequence of vocal samples. Time to travel! The rhythm maintains a constant tension throughout the journey, with the layers revealing themselves only to spice up the sound and get the party going!

On Side B there’s “Shaped” providing a steady-paced combination of swirling layers and spatial elements. From subtle percussive glitching and micro patterns embedded in the main rhythm to modulated whispers and echoing pads evolving in the background.

With such a start, Blue will surely continue to deliver amazing music, as well as Remus will surely step forward more and delight us on the dancefloor. Right now this hidden gem is collecting orders for a second limited repress so make sure you can grab a copy from deejay.de.
