Haokah – Sacred Mirror EP [Fake Society]

After a successful first release signed by Camelia, Fake Society returns with “Sacred Mirror EP”, a massive four-tracker delivered by Haokah, a Romanian duo on the rise in the electronic dance music scene. Bringing forward amazing live performances over the past year while teasing the tracks and receiving a great amount of support from renowned artists as well, this long-awaited EP is finally here.

Madalin Voicu and Alexandru Paicu met a couple of years ago and steadily developed a strong friendship while sharing a common passion for electronic music. The love for analogue sound led them to experiment with different types of hardware and machines and after some time the Haokah project was born out of their need to freely express themselves. Their music incorporates various shades of techno, warm sounds and melodies ready to sweep the frequencies and provide a dynamic experience on the dancefloor.

You definitely heard some of these tracks played by the likes of Sepp, Sublee and Arapu at Sunwaves and other major events or even caught the duo working their magic live. There is a lot going on with the production here, as there are many influences and setting for a specific genre is impossible. A must-have for any collector or selector!

“Pulsations” opens Side A on an uplifting note infused with progressive arrangements and sequences, breezy vibrations and bright synth notes. Perfect for summer days, it sets the pace of the wax and properly introduces the project. Next, there’s “Leap” designed with a solid wobbling bassline in focus, swirling effects and micro patterns.

On the flipside, the title track “Sacred Mirror” reveals a complex composition, designed with intricate percussive elements and variations, as well as long reverberating arpeggios and amazing build-ups. “Glacial Air” closes the pressing with a twisted and engaging sound, built with a playful combination of rhythms and modulations.
