feeder sound exclusive premiere: Roar & Zolbaran feat. Nico Forster – Modulando El Piano [Work In Progress]

French imprint Work In Progress presents its second pressing titled “I Wanna This Record” featuring four tracks signed by Roar in collaboration with Zolbaran, Nico Forster and The Willers Brothers. The 12” is designed with an amazing combination of tech house, minimal and electro sounds, ready to sweep the frequencies on the dancefloors worldwide. Founded in 2018 by Arthur Roussel and Cédric Batret (half of Roar), the label delivers an eclectic vibration in the scene and regularly organises showcase events.

Cédric Batret and Romain Lucas Cebrian aka Roar are well-known for their releases with Archipel, Mama Recordings, Resopal Schallware, Baile Musik, Razom and Soblazn Music, to name a few. For this EP, the duo teams up with London-based The Willers Brothers for a remix on Side A and with Juan Zolbaran, the owner of Unique Trax and T.B.O.T.S. on Side B. The closing track “Modulando El Piano” is produced in collaboration with Nico Forster, a very talented Dj and producer from Buenos Aires with a passion for modular synthesizers and analog machines. Listen to the full-length cut on feeder sound:

The track flows with an uplifting sound provided by the minimalistic percussive arrangements, a solid bassline and techy patterns. Leading the rhythm, the groovy piano notes make up the core layers while the cut builds tension through engaging variations.

The title track “I Wanna This Record” opens the wax with a heavy disco sound that’s notable for its killer vocals and acid techno flashes while the remix provides a more straight-up vibe, with a clean 4/4 beat and funky insertions. The electro influence is elegant and thought-provoking. On the flipside “Neukolin Baila La Bamba” pulls at the heartstrings in much the same way that Gui Boratto’s best work does. An emotive, pleasure-seeking cut right here.
