Local artist Sorin Rastoaca aka Vid drops three fresh and deep minimalistic cuts in the form of “Imagination EP”, an independent release available through his Bandcamp page. Known for his collaborations with Memoria, Brouqade, Pleasure Zone, Otaku Records, Rummenigge, AVi Records and his own playground An|dromeda, he always delivers a distinct and engaging sound. He also dispatched several works with Rawax, Plaisir Records, Monique Musique, Hourglass Ltd, Sound Of Vast and No Time For Love using his aliases Egal 3, Bacauanu and Cumsecade. As a selector, he played delightful sets at numerous parties and shared the decks with a lot of talented names in the scene such as Sepp, Vinyl Speed Adjust, Cally, Christopher Ledger, Scott Kemp, Josh Wicks, Traumer, Triptil and Nils Weimann, to name just a few. More will follow for sure as he’s very determined and passionate about what he’s doing.

The music he brings forward is infused with immersive atmospheres, minimal arrangements, warm synths and solid percussive elements. “De Ce Nu” is another example of his ability to amaze, as the hypnotic rhythm of the track steadily reveals intricate modulations and twisted effects, ready to sweep the frequencies with style. The EP also includes “Balanta” and “22dore”, both designed with stripped-down percussion, playful notes, glitchy patterns and a lot of imagination, of course. There’s a subtle mystical feeling embedded into the sound as well as a smooth combination of microhouse and minimal. The pulsating basslines and the relaxed tempo of the beats are in perfect balance with the variations of the background layers, offering a mesmerizing experience suitable for dancing and mind travelling.
