Perhaps you have already encountered in your walks through the city some of the interventions by artists who have turned Bucharest into their playground or, while visiting the capital, used their creativity to stimulate our imagination and make our urban days more beautiful. You may have read our interviews with them, seen them at work or met them at our workshops.
You now have the chance to (re)discover their pieces in your favourite spot in the city. The Un-hidden Bucharest II map gathers their creations and is available to inspire and reconnect you to the city vibe in 47 must-visit places.

1. ACUARELA
Acuarela is a bistro for the artists’ community in Bucharest, a social hub, a jazz promoter, a warm host of theatre shows and performances.

Apollo111 is a project dedicated to art, but especially to artists, which will change in every season together with its artistic director. Also, it promises to speak to a public who cares about theatre. About art. About our universe.
Apollo111 is a theatre, an event hall, a bar – a modular concept in which a variety of multi-level themes is explored.

3. AROME

4. ARTICHOKE COFFEE SHOP

5. ATELIER PINION COFFEE SHOP
Discover an independent bike & coffee shop – with original equipment and recipes, and suppliers chosen by Atelier Pinion. From theBarn in Berlin, the single origin coffee shows its taste in the form of espresso or other espresso-based beverages: latte, flat-white, macchiato or cappuccino, plus alternative methods of preparing coffee – cold brew or Aeropress.
Also, since cyclists are active from morning to evening, the menu includes a selection of local craft beers ranging from bitter and highly aromatic tastes to various kinds of Pale Ales, unfiltered and unpasteurized.

14. CAFÉ VERONA
Book launches, conferences, exhibitions, concerts and various events that enrich Bucharest’s cultural life are held at Café Verona.
Opened in 2009, a year after expanding the Cărturești bookstore, the Verona Garden is within walking distance of the same street. This green refuge in the city centre is the host of many events, the most famous being Street Delivery. During summer, it’s the perfect place to cool off with lemonade or a tasty beer, and in the cold season, you can take part in gastronomic fairs, enjoying a cup of tea or mulled wine. 16. CNDB [Mărășești]
Established in an authentic way for the support of the independent sector, in the absence of an institutional precedent dedicated to contemporary dance, The National Centre for Dance in Bucharest is the only public institution in Eastern Europe and assumes the mission to develop the choreographic culture in Romania and abroad.

21. DIZAINĂR
Dizainăr.ro is the Romanian design platform that gathers under the same umbrella the best in product design. Dizainăr offers a wide range of design products and services, thus becoming a hub, a connection between the creator, the manufacturer and the end user.
The Dizainăr concept store opened its doors in December 2012, and since then, Dizainăr has consistently promoted Romanian design, both in the country and abroad. The complete portfolio of the store comprises more than 600 creations by Romanian designers, from furniture, lighting fixtures, clocks or graphics, to personal accessories, decorations, toys or glass and ceramics items.

Expirat exists in the Romanian urban landscape since 2002.

29. MACAZ
MACAZ – THEATRE BAR COOP. was launched at the initiative of a collective of artists and activists who collaborated in previous projects such as the Political Theatre Platform, CLACA and the Political Art Gazette. It aims to develop and promote artistic and political projects and actions – theatrical performances, workshops, debates and public presentations, film screenings, book and magazine launches.
The MACAZ Theatre aims to develop and promote an employed political theatre repertoire – providing an ongoing framework for projects that critically analyse the contemporary socio-political dynamics and re-tell the local history from liberating perspectives.
