Various – Unami Part 3 [Savor Music]

Savor Music presents Part 3 of the Various Artists compilation series titled Unami. On this final chapter, we find Martinez, label head Jorge Savoretti, Mariano and a collaborative production signed by Guti alongside Livio & Roby. Together they deliver a colourful sound palette infused with groovy minimalistic sounds and alluring rhythms.

Based in Argentina, the label was founded in 2011 by Jorge Savoretti and Cape as a multicultural project that aims to deliver amazing flavours of modern electronic dance music to the world. With an impressive catalogue carefully built over the years, the imprint is also involved in organising showcase parties promoting the good vibes and inviting renowned artists to share the booth with DJs and producers from their team.

Martin Swanstein aka Martinez opens the VA with “Operation Paperclip”, a very groovy minimalistic house composition designed with intricate micropatterns and bleeps, a steady percussive core and eerie electric pads in the background. The cut has a funky twist embedded in it, proving the artist’s versatility, known for his releases with Guidance Recordings, Minibar, Cadenza, Get Physical and his own ventures, Out of Orbit Recordings and Concealed Sounds.

Next, we find Jorge Savoretti with “U-Fonk#05.02”, a vibrant track that brings forward a solid bassline, techy drumming and ethereal atmospheres. Spiced with subtle evolving textures and modulations, the cut flows with elegance providing a strong rhythm for any dancefloor. His successful debut in 2005, “Frozen”, came out on the Argentinian netlabel Igloo and led him to work with M-NUS, Mupa, Drumma, Telegraph and Esperanza, to name only a few. Nowadays he relentlessly tours and performs at numerous party venues around the globe, establishing his name as a trademark of quality.

First on Side B there’s “Protolight” signed by Mariano, the owner of Micra and Get Slow. The track unfolds like a deep carousel of whirling melodies and effects, elegantly balanced with groovy drumming and a killer bassline. A true student of new technologies but also a vintage hardware lover, he’s known for his unique approach to music making, as well as for his engaging selections. His works have been published by Castelar Discos, Cabana Music, Acute Recordings, Unlock, HouseOnWax and others.

Closing the VA, Guti pairs with Livio & Roby in order to dispatch “Rogues 002”, a dreamy and spatial cut, infused with bright pads and textures, subtle nature recordings and driving percussion. Reverberating a melancholic feeling yet keeping a solid groove going, the track opens a serene dimension of sounds, perfect for the dancefloor.
