Cosmjn – Atipic Lab 04 [AtipicLab]
After Arapu, Faster and Floog, it is time now for Cosmjn to showcase his production skills on the fourth instalment coming from the Atipic Lab series. The 12” features two original tracks, one on each side, both designed with exotic minimalistic flavours and sounds. Perfect for any dancefloor, the wax makes an amazing addition to Atipic‘s catalogue, bringing forward groovy vibrations that resonate with the label’s vision on modern electronic music.
Cosmin Năstasă aka Cosmjn has been very active lately, playing at numerous events and releasing intriguing music with labels like Complatt, Eastenderz and Botanic Minds. In the past, he also worked with imprints like Subtil Records, Naural, Abartik, RORA and Uvar, to name a few. His music delivers a unique and elegant blend of house and techno rhythms, as he’s been involved in the electronic dance music scene for more than eight years now. An experienced music maker and selector, you can catch him spinning at major parties and festivals across Europe, from Romania to Germany, France, The United Kingdom and Austria. Cosmjn is also a part of the Sunrise family and enjoys massive support from many international well-known artists like Rhadoo, Petre Inspirescu, Raresh, Priku, Barac, Lizz, Praslea and many many others.
Side A reveals “See The Sun”, a playful techy rhythm infused with a steady, energetic percussion that brings forward electric synth notes and a subtle melancholic melody. The cut flows with a funky feeling while the texturing is alluring and has a dreamy vibe to it. On Side B we find “Heberg”, a minimalistic composition designed with a growling bassline ready to sweep the low frequencies while delivering a warm deep house sound. Spiced with long and bright background layers, as well as with playful melodic cuts, the rhythm provides a balanced sound while going off the classic 4/4 grid.
