Nacho Bolognani – Clab [Fun Records]

The 8th instalment coming from Fun Records features three original tracks delivered by Argentinian artist Nacho Bolognani and a remix signed by local techno icon Priku. Titled “Clab”, the 12” brings forward a warm and groovy sound flavoured with minimalistic patterns, available in a limited number of copies.

Established in 2015 by DJs and producers Barem and Alexis Cabrera, Fun Records aims to provide refreshing sounds beyond trends and predictable beats to the worldwide electronic dance music scene. Over the years the founders published amazing works alongside artists like Neik, Mariano Mateljan, Jorge Savoretti, Federico Molinari and Nekes. The imprint is also involved in organizing events in South America and Europe, while a strong connection with the Romanian scene can be observed. With Jorge and label-head Alexis releasing with Atipic, it is now time for Priku to add his signature touch to Nacho‘s EP, strengthening the bonds between Argentina and Romania.

Nacho Bolognani is a producer and DJ with a growing influence on the underground scene, always delivering a distinct vibe, blending deep and melodic atmospheres with strong minimal beats. His works have been dispatched by labels like Russian Dollz, Cachai, MyHouse YourHouse, Momentz, Blind Vision Dubs, Whoyostro, Cyclic Records and Savor Music. He enjoys support from many local and international artists and, throughout time, he shared the decks with the likes of Troy Pierce, Lee Burridge, Ernesto Ferreyra, Thomas Roland, Jamie Jones, Saenz, Loco Dice, Seth Troxler and many others. For this release, he teams-up with Priku, the mastermind behind Motif and Atipic.

Priku is known for his unique approach to minimal, being one of the most talented producers and DJ coming from Romania. He released top-notch sounds on labels such as [a:rpia:r], All Inn, Fabric, Pressure Traxx, Concrete Music, Only 300 Family, Eastenderz and Cocoon Recordings, to name just a few. Travelling and performing in numerous locations around the world, there’s no doubt that his vibrations will make any dancefloor go wild.

Side A opens with “T26”, a pumping minimalistic composition designed for dancing. With a solid bassline and a heavy modulated vocal sample, this groovy cut properly introduces us to FUN008. Following, there’s “Kb3”, a house-infused rhythm that builds tension through its fuzzy harmonics. The track flows smoothly while it explores a deeper sound. On Side B, Priku‘s remix on “Kb3” seduces us with its stripped-down arrangement, focusing on the percussion and the eerie background textures. The reverberating chords reveal a dubby influence while subtle, yet intricate effects, add to the story. Closing the wax, “Clab” provides a beautiful melodic vibe, with whirling synths and bright notes leading the track into a dancefloor-oriented affair, full of emotions and introspective moments.
