VincentAdrian – Endz024 [Eastenderz]
Romanian artists Chiriches Vincentiu Iulian aka VincentIulian and Adrian Niculae aka Priku, team-up under the VincentAdrian alias to release the 24th instalment coming from Eastenderz. Based in the UK and run by East End Dubs, the renowned record label never stops to amaze, dispatching top-notch materials from the likes of Lizz, Wickham, Arapu, Viceversa, and Doubtingthomas, to name a few.
With releases on Naural, Metereze, Atipic, Moment, Liniar and Acmé, VincentIulian proves to be one of the most acclaimed Romanian artists. From Sunwaves to Club der Visionaere, he knows how to move crowds, showcasing groovy selections as well as intriguing productions. With a twisted and innovative style, he’s enjoying support from the very best of the scene, as you can hear his tracks being played by Onur Ozer, Barac, Vera, Petre Inspirescu, Praslea, Cezar, and many many others.
An essential presence in the history of Romania’s electronic dance music culture, techno icon Priku is no stranger to Eastenderz, as he collaborated with the imprint a few times already. After many years and a delightfully extended discography, he established himself as a hardworking and passionate music producer and DJ. Aside from his own Motif Records and Atipic, he dispatched memorable music with Fabric, All Inn Records, [a:rpia:r], Pressure Traxx, Cocoon, Only 300 Family, Paragram, Handcrafted, and others. Nowadays, you can catch him across Europe performing at amazing parties, or in the studio, where he carefully crafts future releases.
Endz024 unfolds as a complex 12’’ where the classic wavy sound of minimal techno blends elegantly with experimental sounds. Remaining untitled, the 4 tracks feature an ingenious approach to the contemporary electronic dance music patterns.
A1 stands out through its unique glitched percussion and a distorted radio-like effect. The rhythm flows hypnotically into A2, a stripped-down composition, designed like a DJ tool, with a focus on the minimalistic 4/4 beat. On the flipside B1 flows with energy, revealing a groovy and pumping cut powered by crisp hi-hats and a strong bassline. B2 closes the wax on an uplifting note with a crazy wobbled bassline that drives the core rhythm. Micropatterns and glitched samples decorate the arrangement while keeping it vaporous and mysterious.
An interesting and distinct combination, we hope to see the two artists collaborating more in the future, as the outcome is a must-have for minimal techno lovers!
