Romanian artists Olivian Nour and Clarkent present the first release of the brand new Tandem Records, a 12” playground created by the two.

Olivian Nour, who already runs Melotherapy Records and enjoys releasing with the likes of Memoria, Body Parts, Tzinah or Valioso Recordings to name a few, teams up with Clarkent in this new musical adventure. The first record they present is titled “Doomitru Nemuritoru” and is pure techno bliss. A very good first step from the new imprint, who will definitely have something to say when it comes to electronic music.

A1 titled “Doomitru” is a glitchy composition flavoured by techy patterns and gloomy vocal cuts. The groovy bassline reveals an intricate sound design, with warped effects and wobbling pads from here and there that emphasize the mysterious allure of the track. On the flipside, “Nemuritoru” is a real banger, a punchy tech cut with a hypnotizing feeling to it. With a touch of electric and acid over the rhythm, the effects used to design this track reveal an energetic sound that flows perfectly over the minimalistic yet pounding percussion. With a 12” like this one it’s easy to say that this collaboration is a success and that we have to expect more tech gems like these two tracks.
