Clarkent – Snow White [Melotherapy]
Born in 2012, Bucharest based imprint Melotherapy presents its first release for 2018, signed by Clarkent and titled “Snow White”. The EP features 2 original tracks that deliver an elegant minimalistic and techy sound. Over the years Clarkent has been playing alongside many local and international artists and his music always keeps you in the mood for dancing. His evolution as a DJ and producer makes him one of the new rising stars of Romanian minimal.
A1 titled “Snow White” features a groovy rhythm with a strong bassline and vocal samples that create the story of the track. The effects and filters used to emphasise the presence of the vocal cuts create a mysterious atmosphere over the rolling percussion, taking the track into a hypnotic state.
B1, “Astalavista” stands out with its vibrant bassline and lush synths. Vocal cuts are also present, but this time the emphasis falls on the construction of the rhythm. Smooth breaks and build-ups make this track perfect for any dancefloor.
