Kapucci – The Eagle Has Landed EP [Mode of Expression]
Kapucci is an electronic music duo formed by Raya and Mattia Lapucci. The music they make is retro-futuristic in nature, incorporating atmospheric pads, deep acidic basslines and straight rhythm patterns mixed in from deep house, minimal, techno and electro.
The second EP of Kapucci is a crispy, genius breaktune that goes from house to electro and everything in-between.
“Take The Eagle” is the manifesto track of the EP, emulating recordings from the Apollo Moon landing missions to emphasize that “The Eagle Has Landed” and it’s ready to rock the dancefloor. Spatial sounds are added here and there to build up this feeling of being in space, on the Moon.
“Take One” is an electro-house oriented tune with crisp percussion, long and delayed pads and a wobbly bassline, that takes further the rhythm from the first version. “Take Two” is more experimental and minimalistic, with long breaks, heavy acid bassline and glitched drumming. Added to this release, there’s a characteristic RMX of Phil Evans, that fits perfect for your night.
