What can be more obscure and underground than what exists right now in the shady world of minimalistic loops of house & techno dominated by the Romanian producers? Nothing really, except maybe a series of bomb records released at a virtually anonymous label and signed by no one… Yeah, you know that “Unknown Artist – Track A” that’s driving your hunger for good music insane.
That’s exactly the case with Hostom, a supposedly French label (as they’re a sub label of the Paris based Yoyaku). They’ve just launched Hostom 005 with the same labeling as the previous ones: Track A – Untitled, Track B – Untitled. So with no artist to create a buzz around the tracks, it just leaves it to the music to speak for itself: a hazy atmosphere, with dub accents here and there, following the obsessive percussion and revealing the electro vibes, like we’ve already felt them in some other releases this year (electro making a shy come back? :D).
