Rick Maia & Cesare Vs Disorder – Life is the Art of Drawing Without an Eraser
Rick Maia is a DJ with extraordinary technical ability and a producer with music making waves with many other artists on the scene. Rick is currently one of the masterminds and artists behind Barcelona-based project ‘checkpoint’ who regularly invite some of the world’s most renowned underground artists such as Margaret Dygas, Sonja Moonear, Praslesh, Nicolas Lutz, Ion Ludwig and many more.
Over the past few years, Italian producer Cesare Marchese aka Cesare vs Disorder‘s unique productions and performances behind the decks have gained him recognition within the underground house and techno worldwide community. In addition to the demanding job of running his label Serialism (previously also Mean Records) together with a London / Berlin based team, he has been releasing consistently on major labels such as BPitch Control (Germany), Get Physical Music (Germany), Vakant (Germany) Souvenir Music (Germany). You may have heard Cristi Cons‘ reinterpretation of his track Vortex.
Original is the first one and you can feel a relaxing vibe crossing throughout. Atmospheric background sounds, a smooth bass line, and some futuristic tones make for an alluring and catchy track that will get you moving soon enough.
Next, Priku takes things to a more serious level with some strong bass lines and engaging percussions while retaining the softness of the original track by keeping the melancholic piano sounds.
The acid interpretation has to be Melodie. And it is. The young and talented DJ gives us his usual treatment of classic acid beats covered with a layer of cheeky bass lines and groovy hi-hats.
