“Thin, weedy, with his own afro hair that is a kind of tribute to the black roots of a sound shared by funk and house, which make him look like a mushroom cloud!” This is the description you will find on Giacomo Pellegrino‘s Soundcloud page and the Italian certainly is passionate about his work with previous releases on House of Gold Records, Deep Freaks or Vibe Experience.

S.A.M., Samuel by his real name, is from Copenhagen and has released music on various labels and has played in London, Berlin, Paris, Miami, Dubai, Moscow and many other places. He is passionate about vinyl records and the ‘record-digging’ is his main musical inspiration regardless of genre.

The first track, Inside, has a smooth microhouse feeling all over it with a gentle bass line rolling relentlessly in the background. If this is perfect for a warm-up session, S.A.M.‘s reshape is, as expected, a more deep affair with a variety of sounds complementing each other perfectly and you can imagine this being played on a late Sunday morning with the sun in your eyes.

Hansel!‘s interpretation brings a familiar Romanian vibe with the rolling grooves and strong bass. It will get you moving instantly, while Inside One, the one that closes things off, is a deep and dark track with some shy noises in the background but the bass is king here. A very nice touch at the end.
