Beneath Usual – Tool Box EP

Hailing from France, Beneath Usual is the new project of Arnaud Levasseur, also know under the name of Noon, label manager of SFX Recordings and also sound engineer specialized in Mastering and Sound Design at SFX Mastering.

The first track on Tool Box EP, released on Act Natural Records, is Junk Stuff which is filled with deep layers of bass lines and a ceaseless vocal that carries on the rhythm and gives the track a sense of a linear journey.

A deep design filled with minimalistic dub influences await us in Roundub and this one is a bit of a more profound experience as the sedative sounds in the background blend in perfectly with the exquisite bass lines.

Roof Squat is clearly more dance floor oriented with the rolling grooves, fresh vibes and the faster bass which will grow on you instantly. But as the track evolves, you can feel the same deep vibe that is splattered all over this EP, which is a nice constant.

The main hero in Stimulate is, obviously, the strong bass that gets on top of everything else but leaves just enough room for a haunting vocal to come out of nowhere and give a whole new feeling after the bass kicks in again. This one is, surely, an adventure.
